S5 Episode Five - Conscious Living, Conscious Dying - Life - Your Soul Chooses Your Life's Major Themes

Our lives have themes. As we age these themes are easier to identify as issues that repeat over a single lifetime. One begins to notice patterns. Djehuty says these patterns go deep into several lifetimes. Each life presents new challenges and constructs and these multi-faceted issues of ours challenge us to apply and learn from them. In some of our lives we are men, some women; in some lives we might be a person of color. In some lives we might be left handed in a culture that identifies that trait as evil. If our issues are about power we could be born into powerlessness and journey towards empowerment or, of we are in a culture that denies or celebrates us, we must navigate that accordingly gaining knowledge - or not - about these things that are created by our being alive. To decline a lesson in life is a choice as well, of course, with perpetuating a prolonged consequence of unhappiness and pain that effects evolution.

It begs one to wonder why even bother with examining one's life if we are just being dragged through such rigamarole life after life? One theory is that we sign up for it. Djehuty supports this thinking in his teachings. This suggests that our bright idea to be human conspires with and is seeded in our unconscious waiting for us to recognize our own hand in our fate. This gives us purpose in elevating humanity with our actions as we navigate each choice we make. Improving our role with these themes assists in leveling up the evolutionary game, so to speak, and all benefit from each person's progress. Whatever one's conviction, living a life that is more satisfactory and rich with experiences that are meaningful is worth a little sweat equity for some and this is what creates more love in the world.
