Humans need to communicate and we found a way thousands of years ago to do that through a long series of evolutionary stages. Language is one of our mightiest accomplishments and we present ourselves in many ways through this medium. Words are a source of connection to others but they can betray us. They can lead us away from our hearts where the desire to share our thoughts first came from. Now we must fight to stay true to our word because words have developed into weapons and a means to manipulate feelings; both our own and others. Like all tools they are implements of power. They can poison or they can heal.
Hafiz speaks here about the sanctity and the power of words to create amazing inspiration when crafted and then gifted to others. Words come from their original intention of sharing whether it is to warn or to entreat. He talks about words from the heart perhaps to remind us what this great power is actually for. It is to open doors to the imagination and to create new worlds to describe and new ideas to discuss. Words allow us to connect to each other in a unique way.

This short documentary is a fascinating study of how we have done and how we do language beyond words. I'm a lifelong learner. I just eat this stuff up. Please enjoy, if this is your jam, as well. It doesn't disappoint.
