Episode Two Hundred Eight, I Am Full Of Love Tonight

I am full of love tonight

Come look into my eyes, and lets go off

Sailing, my dear, on a long ocean ride...

It is important to not allow our minds to overwhelm our hearts. It is necessary to take time - to make time - for the heart....for feelings and a sense of beauty to completely envelop us. What is life if not for this outstandingly beautiful world to be human in and to surrender to; to belong to and participate in? It is hell, that is what it is. Our minds left to their own devices will kill us in an effort to save us. Our minds loath heart inspired spontaneity, enthusiasms and curiosity. These things complicate its job of eternal vigilance and maintaining fears.

Hafiz is reminding us here that we are still safe and protected when we train our minds to support us and allow our hearts full reign of our days. Yet we must seize this time and make it intentional. Love rarely falls into us. When our minds are allied with our hearts we stay in love.

...Let's plot

To make the moon jealous

With a radiance leaping from your cheek...

Thank you for listening.

Music: Sometimes we must coerce the mind into cooperating. From "hell no!" to "Well, maybe..." A frightened mind is a childlike beginner's mind that has at one time been betrayed. It must be nurtured and trained into remembering the excellence of working with the heart and learn the acquired taste for adventure and belief in our sovereignty as adults. Here is Peter Gabriel with a "Well, maybe..." from the mind as it begins to work with the heart. In Your Eyes.

Love, I don't like to see so much pain

So much wasted and this moment keeps slipping away

I get so tired working so hard for our survival

I look to the time with you to keep me awake and alive
