As if life were a game of tag, at some point we are going to be pursued, touched and by the rules of the game; the running must stop. With winning dropping from the list as a viable options, we make our choices accordingly. We are "it". At the end of the day, we design our lives and live with our architecture. Whether we choose to martyr ourselves or step into the ownership of our reactions to our experiences, our choices are all we have to utilize of what we are.
Thank you for listening.
Music: Sometimes the shortest Hafiz poems are the most difficult. I was led to this song Running on Empty by Jackson Browne and clip of Tom Hanks in the film, Forrest Gump. It helped me remember that getting tagged takes as long as it takes in a life and, sometimes, we stop because we just get tired and just like that...our running days are over..
