Episode One Hundred Thirty Five, The Ambience of Love

Updated: Jun 13

Each person in this world has a vital part to recognize and play in life. In this way we are mortal instruments cleaving into time and space with whatever is of us that we bring forward.

We are inclined to try and define this life we experience but we often find this impossible. Language does not have the breath or grace of human bodhi and cannot serve us honestly in this way. Still some without explanation or reason, strive to live, express and touch the unknowable. We create art to call our innermost feelings out and into the world. Sometimes we choose to act from the heart and cultivate compassion when we realize that it is needed.

As humans we can weave love out of absolutely nothing tangible to cultivate wonder and compassion in the world. We are energetic, divine beings and we can do this, if we choose.

Video: I was led to this Edgar Allan Poe piece and to the rich, ambient sounds of the Alan Parson's Project, Tales of Mystery and Imagination recorded in 1976. How fortunate we are to be able to experience the fancies Poe writes about and to then merge into these lush, dreamy feelings, drinking deep from them to replenish and refresh ourselves.

...I have found it absolutely

impossible to adapt to language.

These fancies arise in the soul,

Alas how rarely, only at epochs

Of most intense tranquillity....
