It is, perhaps, to the benefit of our survival that we do not grasp our duality and its constructs until we are older so we can be tempered to its nature. Until it happens, we are desperately alone finding ourselves separate in the world. It takes years to know how simple minded and self centered we can be so we can choose to leave off it. It must be a choice because there is a surrendering involved. How good to know we must let expectations die and find the friend in ourselves. What a relief to finally cultivate and enjoy a kind of benevolent madness of a friendship within. The relationship we so long sought outside of ourselves begins within us.
Thank you for listening.
Music: Because you can't make this shit up...or can you?
And when the day had ended, with rainbow colors blended,
Their minds remained unbended,
He had to die, Oh, you know he had to die.
